The 5 Major Reasons Working Away From Home

Parents send us in school to provide education, from preschool until finish college and even sending far for long years to the university. We are apparently being sent away from home to do the important role- to finish education. This is in preparation to our future. We can even feel pressure in school too; class assignments, projects, examinations, child-bullying, and teenage social conflicts e.g. drug addiction, premarital sex, unwanted pregnancy, and crime involvement.

Once we survived during our younger naughty and playful years, the higher the probability we survive our adult years. We need to find work after graduation and we can find a job within the town, might be cities nearby, or even work abroad to pursue the field.

We are now become an adult to survive and continue the legacy of what our parents taught.

On top of that, we must learn to stand away from our parents by not depending on them and eventually learning to be dependent and to have our own decision. Here are the 5 major reasons why we tend to work away from home:

The 5 Major Reasons
1. Accessibility
Mostly are the married people, they need to stick together watching their kids growing up. Few married people choose to work away from home because of the higher living cost includes apartment or house rentals and food consumption, job location transfer required, or the job opportunities are limited. The most ones who able to work far from home are those who are single. They venture themselves to their interest, love to travel, and very aggressive to take new challenges about their job, love to socialize most especially those young adults.

2. Compensation

This is the most significant factor. We choose the job not because we love to, but because of the salary and the benefits package offer. Some can even risking their lives just to get the job. Some even do not fit on the job from experienced or field they practiced, but they accept it. People would even tend to work outside the country because of the benefits- the travel experience, the opportunity visiting foreign countries and most of all the salary that the company provides in spite of the hardship and the struggle they have. This is the first thing we consider when we look for a job. We always make sure that whatever job we take in, we must be salary wise and should avoid spendthrifts.

3. Homesickness

Being separated from our family is not easy. Feelings of being distressed, lonely and uncomfortable are a long way to adjust. This is normally experienced during our college years. Thus, this is actually a gateway to socializing and exposing ourselves to a new circle of people and new interests. Being less connected to our family will help us able to cope up in anyways, being dependent and can handle a situation.

Living alone can develop depressions and anxiety. If we cannot survive homesickness most especially during difficult times, we will not able to work productively and may lead also to unhappiness and poor social life.

4. Happiness
This is the most crucial factor. Happiness sometimes doesn't blend to things we need. We love the job yet we find it drudging. We work because it has good salary compensations and benefits, but we cannot cope up with the colleagues around. We love the job and yet we howl on the small amount we received every payday. We try to please our boss and yet every hard work we exert is not even acknowledged and recognized.
It is too unfair to think that why some people have everything, good career, happy family, and peaceful life. And yet we work hard for it as much as them and ended up our life very stressful and depressing.

5. The Health and Environmental Conditions

This is the most important thing we need to consider. Apart from the compensation factor, we must see to it that the location we are working is safe and risk-free. Considering a safe and a healthful work environment is a benefit that a company can offer to us. Working environment affects our health. Illnesses may also develop due to the working conditions, working lifestyle and the pressures we have. These are normal, but it can be avoided. We better figure it out before it's too late. There is something wrong with our workplace.

Furthermore, always check our work area if this is susceptible to danger possibilities (e.g earthquake, flood, hazard, etc.) and it has always adequate system in case of emergencies such as fire exit, first aid or medical support program, nearest hospital available, PPE's provided for hazard worker, etc. For a member of the family that working far from home, always remind yourself that our family is waiting for us to return home all the time. So be sure to make yourself safe and healthy.

We have been too busy occupying ourselves everyday. We work, we unwind sometimes, we rest and back to work again. Always consider those major things when we work away from home and we should communicate to our family at all times.
